Luke fought with the 23rd Armored Engineer Battalion of the 3rd Army in Europe in WWH.

PrUlaman Company, a manufacturer's representative firm, representing manufacturers of commercial and industrial heating and air conditioning equipment since 1960.

Following flight school and a stint as a flight instructor, he was stationed in England where he served as a bomber pilot during World War H. Air Force in 1961, was a command pilot in the Strategic Air Command. In 1980 he was awarded a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Alabama, HuntsvUle. He was a member of the Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Rockbridge Baths, where he had served on the Session, and the Central Shenandoah Valley Chapter of the MUitary Officers Association of America. He was a Shriner, a Mason, a former Ruritan, and an active supporter of Virginia Tech and of VML from which both of his sons graduated.
