Something was brewing! Stefani and Shelton hilariously performed Drake's "Hotline Bling" on The Tonight Show on October 26. The friendship — and the chemistry between the two — was clearly palpable. "They're a real thing," one insider close to Shelton told Us Weekly.

Shelton and Stefani hit fellow Voice coach Adam Levine's 2015 Halloween bash together, and partygoers told Us Weekly that the pair were together the whole night. The “Honey Bee” crooner revealed that Stefani was wearing her engagement ring during an October appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, which could have blown their announcement the following day. “She kept, like, doing this with her hand,” the Oklahoma native said, while talking with Seth Meyers in December 2020, raising his left hand up to his face. “And You know, [she was] wondering if people would figure out that she was wearing an engagement ring.”

Before performing their duet "Happy Anywhere" in front of a sold-out crowd at the Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, the country crooner playfully corrected his prior mistake when introducing his wife, welcoming "Gwen Stefani-Shelton" to stage.

Shelton opened up about his “surprise” wedding song, which was written for Stefani on their special day, during an episode of the Storme Warren Show on SiriusXM’s The HighwayCause. He noted that he planned to release the song at some point because of how much it means to him.

“I think it's something I want to share because I'm really proud of it. To me, a marriage, a ceremony, is — you're not keeping [it] private. When you get married to somebody, you're announcing to the world, ‘Hey, this is my wife, just so everybody knows,’” he said. “That's why we wear these rings. We're together now.”
