The Adas Torah synagogue is located four miles away from UCLA's campus where Gaza encampment protests turned violent in recent months. Protests have broken out at college campuses across the country.

Dozens were arrested two weeks ago when students and cops scuffled when protesters took over the campus.

The demonstrators repeatedly tried to set up tents, canopies and barriers as they moved to various locations, disrupting nearby final exams.

The group also damaged a fountain, spray-painted brick walkways, tampered with fire safety equipment, damaged patio furniture, stripped wire from electrical fixtures and vandalized vehicles, police said.

Officers had previously cleared out the encampmentwhen pro and anti-Israel protesters clashed in scenes of 'horrific acts of violence' that devolved into 'all-out brawls' which also saw a firework thrown into a crowd of people.

Anti-Israel protests have swept the nation, including thousands descending upon the White House calling for a ceasefire.
