Last year, amid Shakira's fresh split fromGerard Piqué, she and Tom were snapped themselves at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami.
And according to Page Six, sparks were flying, with a source talking to outlet claiming the action star was 'extremely interested' in pursuing the singer.
'Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom,' they added, also joking that the 5ft 1' performer 'isn't taller' than 5ft 7' Tom.

Tom met Penelope Cruz on the set of Vanilla Sky in 2000 but he insisted the pair didn't begin dating until after his divorce from Nicole the following year.
In a 2003 interview with Marie Claire, as reported by Entertainment Weekly, Tom opened up about the 'little things' he liked to do for the star.
