LEESBURG, Fla. (TND) —A young woman who has been in and out of jail for the past few years has faced the same criminal charge three times so far this year. She pleaded no contest each time, and then received the same sentence.

Amanda Doris Coulliette’s latest arrest happened earlier this month when a deputy in Florida got called to a trespassing situation.

The victim said a stranger “had been on her property looking into a car,” shortly before 7 a.m. on April 4.

The arrest report continued with the victim saying, “She told Amanda to leave the property multiple times before she left on foot.”

But then, in the early evening, “She was alerted due to her dogs barking in the backyard,” and she called law enforcement after her son-in-law saw Coulliette leaving their shed.

Nothing was stolen but the victim said, “At no point in time did she give Amanda permission to be on her property or to make entry to the shed.”

A deputy wrote in the arrest report, Coulliette “was still in [the victim’s] backyard upon my arrival.

“Amanda stated that she entered the shed to take a nap and that she did not take anything. Amanda advised the shed was unlocked.”

The deputy noted he “did not observe any damage to the shed, nor did it appear that the shed was broken into. I did observe multiple trespass warnings posted throughout the property.

“Due to Amanda returning to [the victim’s] property after being warned not to return, as well as making entry into a locked shed, she was taken into custody and charged with trespass after warning.”

Coulliette, whose address was labeled “transient,” pleaded no contest and this past Friday, April 12, she was sentenced to time served and released from jail after eight days.

That was her third arrest for trespassing after warning charge of the year.

Another officer got a similar call on Feb. 10, when Coulliette had only been out of jail for three days.

Coulliette was found “sitting on the ground against a children’s basketball hoop within 10 feet of the apartment,” of someone who called the police.

That was at 1:24 p.m., but officers had told her to stay away about an hour earlier, at 12:22 p.m. the same day.

According to the arrest report, “Shortly after the officers trespassed the defendant, she went back on the property and refused to leave.”

And so she was arrested for trespass after warning, pleaded no contest, and was sentenced to time served after spending 19 days in jail.

Coulliette was arrested at a public park on the morning of Jan. 24 after a weapons complaint.

The person who called the police said she was waving a knife around, and he’d been told she threatened someone else with the knife.

The officer wrote, “I observed the female in question but I did not observe the knife.

“Due to previous encounters with the female, I identified her.”

The complainant told the officer, “The knife she was holding was located on a table under the pavilion. The complainant advised the defendant did not display the knife towards him in an aggressive manner.”

Then, the arrest report said, “She began to walk towards the table where I was informed the knife was located.

“I then instructed the defendant to step away from the table and to relocate a safe distance away from the table, which the defendant complied.

“The defendant was physically detained in handcuffs while I conducted further investigation.”

It turned out, Coulliette “was previously arrested twice for trespass after warning at this location.

“The defendant advised she was at this location to get some fresh air.”

Again, she was charged with trespassing after warning but not with anything else. She pleaded no contest and was sentenced to time served, in this case, two weeks.

There have been other charges mixed in, as well.

On the evening of Aug. 20, 2022, police were called to a McDonald’s after Coulliette “entered the business completely naked and locked herself in the male bathroom to bathe during open business hours with employees and customers present.

She’d been warned about trespassing there 17 days before, and arrested there two days before.

Paramedics gave her “a blanket to cover her exposed naked body. Once this was provided, I placed the defendant under arrest,” the report said.

The manager said “she and the employees observed the defendant walk into the restaurant without pants and undergarments on.

“Once the defendant entered the male bathroom, the defendant got completely naked.

“While on scene, the defendant attempted to walk in and out of the bathroom multiple times, with the bathroom door open as employees waited to exit the restaurant.”

This time, Coulliette was charged with trespass after warning and exposure of sexual organs.

She pleaded no contest and was sentenced to time served after spending a month and a half in jail.

And just a few months earlier, she was accused of stealing three bottles of alcohol worth $95 and when an employee tried to stop her from leaving, Coulliette “proceeded to resist and push him so she could leave with the multiple bottles of alcohol.”

It was caught on surveillance video and especially unfortunate for Coulliette, the victim was an older man.

Police found her about 20 minutes later but, “They were unable to locate any of the items she had stolen.”

At the time, Coulliette had four previous convictions of petit theft.

She pleaded no contest to simple battery on a victim 65 or older and felony petit theft, while prosecutors did not pursue three counts of felony retail theft, with two or more priors.

Coulliette, who is now 24, was sentenced to 100 days in jail, with credit for 50 days, and released after almost three months in jail.
